Mohamed Salah: 'Roma return will not be easy for me'

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah admits that he will not find it easy from an emotional perspective when he faces former club Roma in the Champions League this week.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed that he will not find it easy emotionally when he takes on former club Roma in the Champions League.

The Egyptian forward moved to Anfield last summer and has since set the Premier League alight having scored 31 goals in 33 games in the division, equalling records already set by Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.

"It comes with more emotion. Every day I am talking to the players, yesterday I was talking to [Francesco] Totti," Salah told Sky Sports News.

"It's not easy for me, I love the club, love the city, and I know they love me, so it's not going to be easy for me. It's more emotions.

"I know them, we played together for two years, they know how I play, I know how they play, it's not going to be an easy game at all.

"But my feeling was more emotion, I was fighting for the club for two years and now eight months later have to go back."

Salah currently has 41 goals in all competitions and is just six away from equalling Ian Rush's record of scoring 47 in all competitions across a season for Liverpool.
