Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has revealed that the whole squad are taking inspiration from Steven Gerrard's status as a Champions League winner.
The Reds skipper is the only survivor from the side that won Europe's premier competition against AC Milan in Istanbul nine years ago, and the Brazilian playmaker said that Gerrard's success helps drive his teammates on.
Coutinho told Topmercato.com: "When speaking of trophies with Steven Gerrard, who has already won the Champions League with the club, it makes us dream.
"We want to fill the club museum with more trophies. While the squad is young and still has a good margin for progression, I think we can have a great season and win trophies."
The Reds travel to Real Madrid in the Champions League looking to get their European campaign back on track after two straight defeats to Los Blancos and Basel last month.
