Today's heavy rain showers force to FA Cup matches between Braintree Town vs. Tranmere Rovers and Gloucester City vs. Leyton Orient to be postponed.

The FA cup ties at Braintree Town and Gloucester City have been postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Conference National side Braintree had been due to take on League One outfit Tranmere Rovers at their Cressing Road ground.

Meanwhile, Gloucester of the Conference North, who ground share with Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road, were expecting to face Leyton Orient.

However, heavy rain showers throughout the night and this morning have resulted in both matches being cancelled.

No date has been given for when either fixture will now be played.
