Everton striker Arouna Kone linked with January move to Levante

Everton's Arouna Kone could be in line for a return to Spanish side Levante.

Everton striker Arouna Kone has been linked with a January move to his former club Levante.

The La Liga side are willing to bring the injury-plagued striker back to Spain if he can prove his fitness after Christmas, The Mirror reports.

Kone has not kicked a ball for Everton in a competitive match since picking up a serious knee ligament injury more than a year ago.

He joined Everton from Wigan Athletic for £5m in 2012, following manager Roberto Martinez from the Latics to Goodison Park.
