Fans of Ligue 1 outfit Lens have made an ambitious appeal for singer Rihanna to buy their club.
The R&B superstar made headlines during the World Cup in Brazil after tweeting about the tournament and being pictured with the World Cup trophy alongside German players Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Lens supporters have reportedly become disillusioned by the state of the club after being initially refused promotion this season due to irregularities in the club accounts, and then being restricted over transfers.
As a result, they have launched a Twitter campaign to convince RiRi to buy the club and replace Gervais Martel as president, using the hashtag #RihannaForRCLens.
