Leicester City are reportedly in talks with free agent Esteban Cambiasso over a £5m contract.
The 33-year-old midfielder left Inter Milan at the end of last season and is yet to find a new club despite having over 500 appearances under his belt.
Premier League newcomers Leicester are among West Ham United, Aston Villa and Valencia fighting for Cambiasso's signature but the Foxes are leading the race, according to The Mirror.
The midfield veteran has won the FIFA World Cup, Italian Cup, UEFA Super Cup and the European Cup.
Nigel Pearson's side are also interested in Watford's Troy Deeney after having a number of bids rejected.
