Leonardo Ulloa: 'Hard to keep up with Jamie Vardy'

Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa admits that it is sometimes difficult for the team to keep up with the prolific Jamie Vardy.

Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa has revealed that Jamie Vardy's pace poses a problem for his own teammates.

The Foxes frontman has found the net 16 times in the league this season but Ulloa has admitted that it is "difficult to keep up" when he makes a break up the pitch.

"My job is to hold the ball up, help us break quickly and get into the area as often as I can," Ulloa, who has two goals this term, told Marca. "The problem is that Vardy is very quick and when he starts running it is difficult to keep up with him. He is very fast, tireless and very effective."

The Argentine went on to praise Vardy for his team contribution away from the goals, likening his style of play to that of "a kid on the playground".

"Some strikers just satisfy themselves with scoring goals but Vardy's stands out for how much he helps the team," Ulloa added. "He doesn't just run into space he presses, he throws himself into tackles. He has the spirit of a kid on the playground. The ball goes up high and he bounce off [the defender] for it, or if it goes long he will chase it.

"He snaps at the ankles of the defenders. Last season we he showed us some things but the change of formation has benefited him. He has more chances to score goals. He can run between the central defenders. He can finish the moves."

Leicester currently lead the way in the Premier League, sitting three points clear of chasing Manchester City.
