Nigel Pearson pleased with "dangerous" Leicester City

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is pleased that his side maintained an attacking threat throughout Saturday's 2-1 win at Ipswich Town.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has said that he was pleased that his side maintained an attacking threat throughout Saturday's 2-1 win at Ipswich Town.

The Foxes came from behind to win at Portman Road, as David Nugent's second-half brace followed David McGoldrick's early opener.

Pearson told Leicester's official website: "Both sides tried to win it. I don't think it was cagey performance from either side. We didn't perform as we'd have liked to in the first half in the sense that we made too many errors and looked a bit lacklustre.

"But in the second half we upped our game quite a bit. That allowed us to gain the three points. They were two good goals and I did feel we were dangerous throughout the game.

"I thought we were capable of scoring even in the first half, despite not playing particularly well. It's a tough place to come to and I'm pleased with the three points."

Leicester have scored 26 goals in 16 Championship games this season.
