Marc Albrighton: 'Premier League teams now fear facing Leicester City'

Marc Albrighton refuses to play down Leicester City's impressive start to the season, claiming that his side can continue striking fear into the Premier League.

Marc Albrighton has claimed that the form of Leicester City's attacking players has struck fear into fellow Premier League sides.

The Foxes have enjoyed a stunning season to date, losing just one of their opening 15 games to find themselves at the top of the table.

Jamie Vardy leads the way in terms of goals scored, seeing his record-breaking 11-goal run come to an end in the 3-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday afternoon, but Riyad Mahrez took over scoring duties by striking an impressive hat-trick.

Rather than play down his side's hopes of finishing in the higher echelons of the top tier, Albrighton has instead insisted that anything is possible for Leicester this term due to the shaky form of those around them.

"We could have been four or five up at half time and you can see teams fear us going forward," he told reporters after the game in South Wales. "Jamie and Riyad have been brilliant for us this season and who knows where we would be without their goals and creativity.

"But if they can continue doing it that could play a massive part in what we do this season. The way the season's going it's wide open. The big teams are losing games and dropping points which is unusual because they're normally quite solid.

"We've just got to concentrate on what we do because it's got us to where we are so far. If we continue doing that we won't go far wrong."

Next up for Leicester is a meeting with fallen champions Chelsea at the King Power Stadium next weekend.
