Christian Benteke had a chance to open the scoring with just over 10 minutes played at Villa Park when he unleashed a half-volley, but he sliced the ball wide of the post.
The visitors made the most of his miss as they broke the deadlock down the other end moments later, with Leonardo Ulloa tapping in from close range after Brad Guzan parried a Riyad Mahrez effort into the Argentine's path.

Villa needed less than five minutes to level the scores, though, as Ashley Westwood floated the ball forward from a free kick, leaving Ciaran Clark to stoop low and nod the ball past Kasper Schmeichel.
The Foxes could have retaken the lead shortly after when Jamie Vardy rushed into the box, and was brought down by a Guzan tackle, but the Villa goalkeeper got the ball, despite Leicester's shouts for a penalty.
The home side were dealt a blow just before the break when Westwood was brought down by Vardy and had to be stretchered off, while Ulloa also appeared to be carrying a knock as the players headed off for the break.
