Leon Osman has revealed that he would "happily drop down" to the Championship for the 2016-17 campaign.
The experienced midfielder is currently available on a free transfer after leaving Everton and it is understood that a number of Championship clubs are interested in a deal.
The 35-year-old has claimed that he 'just wants to play football' after only making nine Premier League appearances for Everton last season.
"At this point I just want to play football. I'm 35 and want to finish my career having played more. If that is in the Premier League, so be it. If not, I'd happily drop down," the Derby Telegraph quotes Osman as saying.
"There has been interest. The people who look after me are sorting out what's best for me. Once that's decided we'll go from there."
Leeds United are believed to be interested in a move for a player that has 450 career appearances to his name.
