Burnley beat West Brom to signing of Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor?

Burnley reportedly beat West Bromwich Albion to the signing of Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor.

Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor has reportedly decided to sign a contract with Burnley.

Taylor's contract at Elland Road expires at the end of the month, and that has resulted in clubs from the Premier League taking an interest in his signature.

West Bromwich Albion have been pursuing the 23-year-old since the final days of last season, but it appears that they are going to miss out on the signing.

According to The Mirror, Taylor has chosen to link up with the Clarets after holding talks with boss Sean Dyche.

Due to his age and having come through the ranks at the Yorkshire giants, a fee still needs to be agreed, with Leeds said to be hoping for £7m if the transfer goes to a tribunal.

However, despite Taylor making over 100 appearances for Leeds, it has been claimed that Burnley are hoping to complete a deal for around £4m.
