Report: Carlos Queiroz in running for Leeds United job

Former Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz is reportedly being considered for the vacant managerial role at Leeds United.

Carlos Queiroz has reportedly put himself forward for consideration for the vacant managerial role at Leeds United.

The former Manchester United assistant has spent the last three years as the head coach of Iran's national side, leading the team to this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

According to The Mirror, the 61-year-old has asked to be considered for the role as he is keen to return to club management.

The Championship side are looking for their ninth manager in 10 years following the dismissal of Dave Hockaday after a six-match spell at the helm.
