Derby County's iPro Stadium named best Championship ground

Derby County's iPro Stadium is named the best Championship stadium in 2014-15.

Derby County might have disappointingly missed out on the Championship playoffs this season, but their ground has been named the best stadium in the league for 2014-15.

The iPro Stadium, formerly known as Pride Park, came top of a recent survey conducted by BuildingMaterials.co.uk and ToThe92.co.uk.

"Legroom is excellent, the facilities and food outlets are very similar and even the acoustics are superb, helping to create an excellent atmosphere," the iPro's summary states.

Rotherham United's New York Stadium and The Amex of Brighton & Hove Albion complete the top three.

The survey takes into account a wide variety of factors that make for a good away day, with location, conditions and refreshments among the details considered.

The DW Stadium of relegated Wigan Athletic is bottom of the table for being "the definition of a boring new build".
