Sunday's Serie A predictions including Lazio vs. Roma

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Lazio vs. Roma.

Napoli vs. Empoli (Sunday, 11.30am)

After being held to a frustrating home draw in Europe, Napoli return to Serie A duty on Sunday, as they host struggling Empoli at Stadio Maradona.

In their final fixture before the upcoming international break, the Scudetto holders will aim to improve their patchy record in Naples this season and also keep in touch with Italy's top three.

We say: Napoli 2-0 Empoli

None of the last nine Serie A meetings between these clubs have ended level - with six wins for Sunday's hosts and three for their Tuscan counterparts - and a draw is not the likeliest outcome on this occasion. Although Napoli have been short of their best on home turf, Empoli do not travel well and concede goals at an alarming rate on the road.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Fiorentina vs. Bologna (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Fiorentina hope to bounce back from three consecutive Serie A defeats when they welcome in-form Bologna to Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday.

Vincenzo Italiano returned to winning ways in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, and it remains to be seen if the Viola end the Rossoblu's extended unbeaten sequence in the round 12 encounter.

We say: Fiorentina 1-1 Bologna

Despite Bologna's keenness to secure their first away points of 23-24 to push them into fifth place, both sides may have to make do with sharing the spoils in Florence.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Udinese vs. Atalanta (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Having stayed on course to progress in Europe by winning in midweek, Atalanta BC visit Serie A strugglers Udinese on Sunday, aiming to stay in touch with Italy's top four.

While La Dea overcame Sturm Graz shortly after losing to Inter in the league, Udinese enjoyed more luck against another second-city side last week, when they finally ended their long wait for a win against Milan.

We say: Udinese 1-1 Atalanta BC

On the last eight occasions Udinese have hosted this equivalent fixture, both teams have always scored - averaging nearly four goals per game between them. It could be a more closely contested affair this week, though, as the improving home side are unbeaten in five league matches - Atalanta may have to settle for a draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Lazio vs. Roma (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Ahead of the 159th Rome derby in Serie A, both Lazio and Roma have ground to make up in Italy's top-four race, so neither can afford to drop more points on Sunday.

The Eternal City clubs convene at Stadio Olimpico for their final fixture before the international break, having already lost nine league games between them.

We say: Lazio 0-1 Roma

Even if this edition of the derby is level late on, all is not over until the final whistle sounds: Roma have scored the most goals (nine) during the final 15 minutes of play in Serie A this season; Lazio have found the net just twice during the same time period.

They may not employ Maurizio Sarri's intricate passing patterns, but Jose Mourinho's men never know when they are beaten - and one goal could be enough to seal an overdue success against their capital-city rivals.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Inter Milan vs. Frosinone (Sunday, 7.45pm)

On a run of five straight wins in all competitions, Serie A pace-setters Inter Milan aim to sign off for the international break with another victory on Sunday, when they host overachievers Frosinone at San Siro.

Inter stayed clear at the top in Italy by beating Atalanta BC last weekend then sealed their place in the Champions League's last 16; their promoted visitors, meanwhile, find themselves closer to the top six than the drop zone.

We say: Inter Milan 3-1 Frosinone

As Inter have become machine-like in their consistency over the past few weeks, they will surely not slip up at San Siro on Sunday. For all their fine form at home, Frosinone have picked up just two points on the road thus far and are unlikely to upset the Scudetto favourites.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
