Miroslav Klose targets European spot

Miroslav Klose says that Lazio are aiming to finish inside the top five in Serie A this season and seal a return to European football.

Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has said that his side are confident of securing a place in Europe this season.

The 36-year-old scored twice for the Biancocelesti as they claimed a 4-2 win against Cagliari to move up to third in the Serie A table.

"It's an important victory. We worked extremely hard in the first half and deserved [the win]," Klose told reporters.

"I've been at Lazio for three years and see the work we do on the pitch. We wanted third place and we have demonstrated this. We go game by game, but we want to finish at least in the top five."

Klose has found the back of the net four times for Lazio this season.
