Almeria secure first-leg win against Las Palmas

Almeria secure a 3-1 win against Las Palmas in the first-leg of their last-32 tie in the Copa del Rey.

Almeria have beaten Las Palmas in the first-leg of their Copa del Rey last-32 tie.

The first 15 minutes saw neither side dominate, but soon Almeria began to take control.

First, Gonzalez Oscar Diaz pounced to make it 1-0, before Aleix Vidal extended Almeria's advantage.

The away side then grabbed their third of the afternoon with just 26 minutes gone when Diaz found the back of the net for his second goal.

However, Christian Fernandez was sent off with 61 minutes gone and Las Palmas pulled a goal back through Viera Nauzet.

They were unable to find another, however, and were also reduced to 10 men when goalscorer Nauzet got his marching orders.
