Dundee United are understood to be considering a move for Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd.
The 30-year-old, who scored 22 goals last season, is out of contract at Rugby Park this summer.
Killie boss Allan Johnston has repeatedly claimed that he wants Boyd to remain at the club for next season.
However, United manager Jackie McNamara is thought to be keen on bringing the experienced forward to Tannadice Park, according to BBC Sport.
Boyd returned to Kilmarnock in February 2013 following spells with Rangers, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, Eskisehirspor and Portland Timbers.
