Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta insists that the Italian outfit have "never considered" a move for former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has quashed rumours linking Chelsea star Didier Drogba to Turin.

The 34-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent weeks following reports that the Ivory Coast international is unsettled with life at Shanghai Shenhua.

"We have never considered making a move for Drogba," Marotta told Mediaset Premium. "That's just rumour and speculation."

Despite claims that Drogba could leave the Chinese Super League club, it is believed that the striker will stay with the outfit that he joined in the summer.
