Antonio Conte absent from Juventus touchline for Malaga friendly

Juventus manager Antonio Conte watches from the stands as his team beat Malaga 2-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Juvenuts manager Antonio Conte chose to stay in the stands to watch his side beat Malaga 2-0 in a friendly on Saturday.

Conte watched the match in a private box as a brace from Alessandro Matri gave Juve an impressive victory.

The Juve boss is currently facing a lengthy ban after chief prosecutor Stefano Palazzi rejected Conte's plea bargain.

Conte could face a 15-month ban from Juve matches if the maximum punishment for his failure to report match fixing is administered.

Juventus play their first competitive match of the Italian season against Napoli in the Super Cup on Saturday, August 11.
