Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has insisted that Inter Milan will be a team not to be underestimated in Serie A this season.
Inter finished ninth last time out in a disappointing campaign, but have since replaced coach Andrea Stramaccioni with former Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri at the San Siro.
Chiellini believes that Inter will have a point to prove under a new regime, while admitting that perennial rivals Napoli and AC Milan will provide the strongest challenge to a third successive Scudetto for the Old Lady.
He is quoted by Football Italia as saying: "I think that Napoli and Milan have a bit more than the rest of the teams, even if Fiorentina have bought well this summer.
"Inter, meanwhile, will start from last season's ninth-placed finish and they can only improve.
"They will be a dangerous side because they will be hungry to hit back and we, a few years ago, demonstrated how much desire counts."
Antonio Conte's men are currently in Rome preparing for Sunday's traditional curtain raiser to the Italian season, a SuperCoppa Italia clash with Lazio.
