Half-Time Report: Juan Cuadrado draws Juventus level

Juan Cuadrado cancels out Josip Ilicic's penalty as Juventus and Fiorentina reach the break level at 1-1.

Juan Cuadrado has delivered an equaliser against his former club to send Juventus to the break level at 1-1 with Fiorentina.

Fiorentina were gifted the opportunity to make the perfect start when Federico Bernardeschi beat Giorgio Chiellini to the ball in the box before going down under the slightest of touches to win a penalty for the visitors.

Josip Ilicic stepped up from 12 yards, and despite Gianluigi Buffon getting his hands to the ball, the effort was too powerful as Fiorentina claimed the early advantage.

The lead lasted for just three minutes, however, as Cuadrado found the space to meet Patrice Evra's deep cross with a looping header to get his side back on level terms.

Paulo Dybala often threatened the visiting defence while dropping deeper to get involved, but he was unable to find the finish to an excellent run as he struck a tame effort straight at Ciprian Tatarusanu.

Juventus settled the better of the two sides following a frantic opening, with Evra and Cuadrado regularly involved on either wing, but the champions struggled to create more clear opportunities prior to the break.
