How Juventus could line up against Porto

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Juventus could line up for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Porto.

Andrea Pirlo's significant injury list may be starting to ease somewhat, with defenders Giorgio Chiellini and Matthijs de Ligt closing in on a return to the Juventus squad.

In further positive news for the Juve head coach, both Leonardo Bonucci and Arthur came through their comebacks unscathed, both being introduced off the bench in the second half of Saturday's win over Lazio, while Juan Cuadrado was also fit enough to play 70 minutes.

However, Paulo Dybala remains out injured, while Rodrigo Bentancur tested positive for COVID-19 late last week and must self-isolate. Furthermore, versatile defender Danilo - who even featured in midfield last time out - is suspended on Tuesday.

The Bianconeri rearguard will necessarily be a mix-and-match affair then, so Pirlo is most likely to pair Bonucci with Merih Demiral in central defence, allowing Alex Sandro to switch back to the left flank.

Though substituted on Saturday, Aaron Ramsey has a strong chance of featuring in the starting XI again, given Bentancur's absence and Arthur's recent injury problems.

Enjoying his most fruitful goalscoring campaign in a Juve shirt, Alvaro Morata should be favoured to start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo up front, with Dejan Kulusevski dropping to the bench.
