Juventus striker Fernando Llorente rues missed chances against Barcelona

Fernando Llorente believes that Juventus could have beaten Barcelona in the Champions League final with some better finishing.

Fernando Llorente has claimed that Juventus could have won the Champions League final had they been more ruthless in front of goal.

The Italians were beaten 3-1 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin last night as Barcelona were crowned champions of Europe.

Despite being second best for large parts of the game, Llorente believes that Juve could have got their hands on the trophy with a more clinical approach in the final third.

"We're disappointed. We put in a good performance but it wasn't enough," he is quoted as saying by UEFA.com. "At times, we were better than Barcelona, despite them being in incredible form.

"It's a shame, but we should have taken our chances better. We've had a great season and I'm happy to be a part of this group. Achieving what we've achieved this year is no easy feat."

Juventus end the season having won the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia.
