Antonio Conte has revealed that he is targeting a semi-final spot with Italy as they turn their focus to Euro 2016.
Italy clinched a place in the tournament with a 3-1 win over Azerbaijan at the weekend and they will aim to finish Group H with an unbeaten record when they meet Norway in their final qualifier on Tuesday.
Conte will take the team to a tournament for the first time since being appointed head coach after last year's World Cup, but he does not believe that the Azzurri will be considered a favourite.
"Going to the Euros will be a unique experience," he told reporters. "I've been jealous of colleagues who have gone before, but this time the pleasure will be mine.
"Our goal will be to finish in the top four, but it will depend on how good we are and how things fall in place. We certainly won't start as favourites.
"I've always found it difficult to go into a competition with an idea of how far we should progress. Quality and luck usually decide."
Italy have lost just one of their last 13 games.
