Ipswich Town have reportedly joined the race to sign highly-rated Scunthorpe United left-back Conor Townsend this summer.
The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the most consistent full-backs in League One and is believed to be on the radar of numerous Championship sides.
According to the Ipswich Star, Scunthorpe have already rejected a £250,000 bid for Townsend from Hull City, who let the defender leave for free two years ago, while West Bromwich Albion are also said to be keen on the player.
The report goes on to claim that Ipswich boss Paul Hurst, who worked with Townsend when the player was on loan at Grimsby Town, is eager to bring him to Portman Road.
Scunthorpe are believed to value Townsend at £600,000 as he heads into the final year of his contract at Glanford Park.
