Ben Marshall rescues point for 10-man Blackburn Rovers

Ben Marshall scores in stoppage time to give Blackburn Rovers a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town despite Matt Kilgallon's sending-off

Ben Marshall struck three minutes into stoppage time to give the 10 men of Blackburn Rovers a 1-1 draw away to Ipswich Town this afternoon.

Rudy Gestede went close for Rovers on 23 minutes, but the striker was unable get his header on target from Craig Conway's cross.

Jordan Rhodes was denied for Blackburn shortly before the half-hour mark when his header was kept out after good work from Cairney once again.

Gestede then had a penalty appeal waved away towards the end of the half after going down under a challenge from Tyrone Mings.

David McGoldrick gave the Tractor Boys the lead on 65 minutes when he curled home a free kick following Matt Kilgallon's sending-off for two bookable offences.

Shane Duffy spurned a great chance to level things up late on, but the defender headed wide before Marshall rifled in to claim a point for his side in stoppage time.
