Ipswich Town score three second-half goals against Millwall to claim victory.

Ipswich Town scored three second-half goals to claim victory over Millwall at Portman Road.

David McGoldrick went closest for the home side in the first half when he headed Aaron Cresswell's free kick just wide of the post.

Luke Chambers had a good chance for Ipswich before the interval when he headed a Carlos Edwards cross from close range just wide.

Ipswich made the breakthrough in the 63rd minute when Cresswell's cross was pushed away by Stephen Bywater and the ball rebounded off Millwall defender Shane Lowry into his own net.

Tommy Smith doubled the home team's lead in the 70th minute when he headed home following a corner from Paul Anderson.

The home side made it 3-0 courtesy of another own goal, this time Mark Beevers putting past his own keeper from Elliott Hewitt's cross.
