Inter Milan have upped their interest in Angel di Maria and are reportedly prepared to pay Paris Saint-Germain a fee of £43m to sign him.
The 29-year-old has had better success in the French capital compared to his miserable spell with Manchester United, culminating in the Red Devils taking a near £16m financial hit to offload him in 2015 just a year after joining.
Di Maria scored 14 times in all competitions for PSG last season and, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport, he has attracted admiring glances from new Inter boss Luciano Spalletti.
It is claimed that the Nerazzurri will offer £35m up front and then a further £8m in incentives, which could tempt PSG as they are keen to bring in James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.
Di Maria, who has also been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks, could be offered a four-year contract worth £6.5m annually to help get a transfer over the line.
