Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo admits that the club are awaiting clearance from Inter Milan regarding the future of Thiago Motta.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has stated that the French club are awaiting Inter Milan's decision regarding the future of Thiago Motta.

Motta, 29, has been linked with a move to the Ligue 1 outfit in recent weeks, but Leonardo has said that a deal rests on the shoulders of the Italian club.

"We like Thiago Motta. We are evaluating the situation, but Inter want to keep him. We have to wait a few more days, because without Inter's go-ahead we cannot close a deal," Leonardo told RTL.

Brazilian-born Motta has appeared 69 times for Inter since joining the club in 2009.
