Andrea Stramaccioni angered by Siena loss

Inter Milan boss Andrea Stramaccioni offers no excuses for his side's "ugly defeat" to Siena.

Inter Milan boss Andrea Stramaccioni has made no excuses for his side's poor performance against Siena, insisting that the defeat was deserved.

Siena shocked the Serie A giants, who had Cristian Chivu sent off, beating them 3-1 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this afternoon.

Stramaccioni claims that there are "no alibis" to justify Inter's "ugly defeat", but insists that his side will find form and get back on track.

"It is without doubt an ugly defeat and we are very angry," he said. "We had a few players missing, but there are no alibis for a poor performance.

"We've got to find ourselves again, as we are still the team who in November were a point off the leaders and had great ambition. We are going through a difficult moment, but I am sure we will get out of it.

"It was a bad performance and we deserved the defeat. In these cases either you cry and despair or you try to get back on track. I prefer the latter."

Inter are currently sitting in fourth place in Serie A, 12 points behind leaders Juventus.
