Roberto Mancini has warned his Inter Milan players not to make the same mistakes as Roma two years ago.
The Giallorossi threw away their chance to win the scudetto in the 2013-2014 season after they had won their first 10 Serie A matches.
Mancini's side are two points clear at the top of the table after three games but he says that there is still a long way to go in the campaign.
"Two years ago Roma won 10 consecutive games but didn't win the league. Starting well is important, but it's a long season," Mancini is quoted as saying by FIFA.com.
"We've done well so far but we have to keep it up.
"The championship will settle down after 10 games, and the teams that are all fighting for the title will be close to each other, including Juventus and Milan, who are used to winning games on the trot."
Inter face Chievo on Sunday.
