Report: Striker Jay Rodriguez set for Southampton return

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman will reportedly welcome back striker Jay Rodriguez next month.

Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez could make his long-awaited return from injury next month.

The 25-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee last April, and missed the 2014 World Cup.

Saints manager Ronald Koeman had suggested that he may not play at all this season after a setback, but the Daily Mail reports that he is stepping up his recovery ahead of a return next month.

Rodriguez scored 17 goals in 45 games for the South Coast club last season.
