Hull City boss Steve Bruce believes that his side are in a strong position in the Championship but is fully aware how quickly that can change.
The Tigers are second in the table following their 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town at John Smith's Stadium as George Boyd scored the only goal of the game.
He told reporters: "It's another game gone and you just want to protect that lead, that's the aim - can we protect it with seven games to go?
"It's a good position to be in, but there's still seven games to go and we know how quickly it can change."
Hull are four points clear of third-placed Watford, who they play on Tuesday, with seven games left this season.
