Hull City manager Steve Bruce does not believe that his job is in "trouble", but accepts that there is a "problem" regarding results on the pitch.
The Tigers have lost all of their last three Premier League fixtures and have scooped just four victories out of 23 games this season.
Hull's position in the league table has led to speculation that Bruce could be sacked.
"We are in the bottom three so there is a problem," said Bruce in this morning's press conference. "I can't control what a newspaper says or what the speculation is.
"I am not going to take anything for granted but I would think the chairman, given the relationship we have, would tell me if I was in trouble. He has backed me to bring in new players so I don't think he would have done that if he wasn't backing me.
"We have worked very hard over the last two-and-a-half years and I am not going to give it up without a fight."
Hull will take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
