Hull City and Newcastle United make six and seven changes respectively ahead of Tuesday's EFL Cup quarter-final clash at the KCOM Stadium.

Hull City and Newcastle United have made six and seven changes respectively ahead of Tuesday's EFL Cup quarter-final clash at the KCOM Stadium.

Goalkeeper David Marshall, defenders Curtis Davies and Josh Tymon, and midfielders Ryan Mason, Sam Clucas, and Markus Henriksen have all been omitted by Tigers manager Mike Phelan.

Eldin Jakupovic, Harry Maguire, Andrew Robertson, Tom Huddlestone, David Meyler and Adama Diomande are the men drafted into the starting XI as they welcome the Magpies.

Mohamed Diame, who scored the goal that won Hull promotion to the Premier League in the Championship playoff final in May, starts in Newcastle's midfield.

Also coming in are goalkeeper Matz Sels, defenders Jamaal Lascelles and Achraf Lazaar, midfielders Vurnon Anita and Yoan Gouffran, and striker Dwight Gayle.
