Andy Robertson could miss rest of season

Hull City manager Steve Bruce admits that he does not know whether Andy Robertson will play again this season after he injured his ankle in training.

Steve Bruce has revealed that defender Andy Robertson could miss the rest of the Premier League season after injuring his ankle in training with Hull City this week.

The Scotland international rolled the same ankle that sidelined him earlier this year during Thursday's training session, ruling him out of this afternoon's match against Crystal Palace.

The manager told the Hull Daily Mail: "We really don't know how serious it is at the moment. He did it in training on Thursday. It's the same ankle he did against Everton [on New Year's Day] when he turned it over badly.

"It was so innocuous it was scary. There's a month left so we'll have to see how it is. I wouldn't have thought he's got a chance for Liverpool either but beyond that we don't know."

The defender has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Hull this season.
