Adam Hammill leaves Huddersfield Town by mutual consent

Huddersfield Town announce that winger Adam Hammill has left the club by mutual consent.

Adam Hammill has left Huddersfield Town by mutual consent.

The winger, 30, had nearly a year to run on his contract with the Championship club.

Hammill joined the Terriers on a permanent deal in 2013 following a loan spell at the John Smith's Stadium.

His former clubs include Liverpool, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

"After discussions with Adam, we made the decision that this was the best option for everyone concerned. The timing gives Adam the chance to find himself another club and make a clean start in his career," manager Chris Powell told Huddersfield's official website.

"Adam has worked diligently during my time as manager and I believe I speak for everyone at Huddersfield Town when I wish him the best of luck for the future; he will always be a friend to everyone here."

Huddersfield currently sit in 22nd place in the Championship table.
