Dennis Diekmeier frustrated by Hamburger SV collapse at Bayern Munich

Dennis Diekmeier reveals his frustration after a second-half collapse condemned them to a 5-0 loss to Bayern Munich on Friday night.

Dennis Diekmeier has claimed that the manner in which Hamburger SV lost 5-0 to Bayern Munich came as a blow after a promising start at the Allianz Arena.

Hamburg battled impressively in the first half of the Bundesliga opener and were only behind to a Mehdi Benatia header at the interval, before the champions stormed clear to record an emphatic win.

After frustrating Bayern for long spells early in the game, Diekmeier admits that the result was difficult to take for Bruno Labbadia's side.

"We have to focus on the positives. We were well organised in the first half and didn't concede many chances. In the second half we caved in after the early second goal. We're disappointed to have lost the game this way," he told reporters.

Hamburg have conceded 36 goals in their last six visits to the Allianz Arena.
