Gillingham release Amine Linganzi

Gillingham opt to release midfielder Amine Linganzi from his contract with the League One club.

Amine Linganzi has had his contract at Gillingham cancelled with immediate effect.

The 25-year-old arrived in Kent from Accrington Stanley in 2013, but injuries have limited him to just 28 appearances in all competitions.

As a result, the midfielder has now been freed to find himself a new club.

"The club would like to place on record its gratitude to Amine for his services while at Gillingham and we wish him well for the future," read a statement on the club's official website.

Linganzi scored one goal during his stint at the Priestfield Stadium.
