A fluke goal from Harry Forrester has been cancelled out by a John Marquis header at half time between Doncaster Rovers and Gillingham.

Gillingham started well, with both Reece Wabara and Nathan Tyson sending dangerous crosses into the area but nobody could get on to the end of them.

Bradley Dack then flicked the ball over Donny goalkeeper Stephen Bywater after an intricate passing move, but Andy Butler was in the right place to head the ball off the line.

Forrester, who had just come on as a substitute for the injured James Coppinger, got the first goal of the afternoon after taking a free kick from the halfway line which bounced in the area and over the head of Stuart Nelson to land in the net.

John Marquis then equalised just before the interval by heading in a Doug Loft free kick.
