Bastian Schweinsteiger has warned his Germany teammates that they will not get away with taking it easy against the Republic of Ireland on Friday night.
The Irish cannot qualify for next year's World Cup, while hosts Germany know that a victory will book their place in Brazil.
However, despite the fact that the visitors have little to play for, Bayern Munich midfielder Schweinsteiger has insisted that they should not be taken lightly.
"Ireland have their qualities, which must be respected," he told reporters. "They have players who fight tirelessly for their country.
"Of course they are not as strong as Argentina and Spain, but their hearts are in the right place and they always give everything."
After Ireland, Germany conclude the qualification process with a trip to Sweden a week today.
