Germany midfielder Marco Reus has been ruled out of the World Cup with an ankle ligament injury.
The 25-year-old, who plays his club football for Borussia Dortmund, has been replaced in the squad by Sampdoria defender Shkodran Mustafi.
Reus suffered the problem on Friday during his country's 6-1 thrashing of Armenia in their final warm-up game before the tournament in Brazil.
Germany coach Joachim Low claimed after the match that he did not know the extent of the injury, but further tests have revealed that Reus will not be flying out to South America with the national team.
