Germany coach Joachim Low is expected to send a weakened team to face England at Wembley on Tuesday, with Arsenal's Mesut Ozil among the big names who will be rested.
Midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sami Khedira are already missing through injury, and Low has revealed that Ozil, captain Philip Lahm and first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will also sit out.
The world's number two ranked side will take the opportunity to give less experienced players such as Borussia Dortmund trio Marco Reus, Roman Weidenfaller and Marcel Schmelzer a chance to impress.
"This game is a huge opportunity to test different tactical and personnel models in preparation for the World Cup," Low told reporters.
"Lahm, Neuer and Ozil won't play against England. They belong to the absolute main staff of the team.
"At the moment it's much more important to give other players the opportunity to show themselves in main positions against an important team like England."
Bayern Munich pair Lahm and Neuer have been given extra time to prepare for the Bundesliga clash with Dortmund next week and will not travel to London, where only 1,000 visiting tickets have been sold.
