Colin Kazim-Richards 'to plead not guilty to abusing rival supporters'

Colin Kazim-Richards will reportedly plead not guilty to making an offensive hand gesture at Brighton supporters.

Footballer Colin Kazim-Richards will reportedly deny abusing rival fans in court following an incident during a loan stint at Blackburn Rovers.

The 26-year-old was reported to police after allegedly making an offensive hand gesture to Brighton & Hove Albion fans during a clash last season.

During yesterday's hearing, which Kazim-Richards did not attend, it was claimed that the Galatasaray play will plead not guilty to the offence.

The case was adjourned until September 5.
