Hatem Ben Arfa shakes off a recent hamstring complaint to start for Newcastle United against Fulham.

French attacker Hatem Ben Arfa has recovered from a hamstring injury to take his place in the Newcastle United starting lineup for this evening's clash with Fulham.

Ben Arfa has replaced countryman Sylvain Marveaux in what is the only change that manager Alan Pardew has made.

Meanwhile, his opposite number Martin Jol has made five alterations to his Fulham lineup for the encounter.

Hugo Rodallega has been recalled and will partner Dimitar Berbatov in attack, while Brede Hangeland has returned from suspension.

Fulham: Schwarzer; Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Duff, Sidwell, Baird, Kacaniklic; Berbatov, Rodallega

Newcastle: Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; Anita, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Gutierrez; Ba, Cisse
