Tony Gale urges Fulham caution

Former Fulham defender Tony Gale believes that the team still have plenty of work to do if they want to stay in the Premier League.

Former Fulham defender Tony Gale has insisted that the team still have a lot to do if they want to stay in the Premier League, despite their recent resurgence.

The Cottagers are now just two points adrift of safety following consecutive wins against Aston Villa and Norwich City.

However, Gale believes that Felix Magath's side could see their season unravel quickly if they fail to pick up points in the coming weeks.

"Of course, we're in a better position now than we were a fortnight ago, but I don't want to be over-confident because it can go the other way, too," he told the club's official website.

"Norwich have got two games at home, and although they've got four difficult sides to play, they could turn it around as well with their fans getting on side. Plus we've also got to remember that Cardiff had a good win at the weekend and they've come back into the equation."

Fulham return to Premier League action on Saturday when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur.
