The FA Cup third round provided another memorable night of football this evening as 10 matches took place to determine who would reach the next stage of the competition.
Non-league Kidderminster Harriers pulled off a major shock by coming from behind to beat Peterborough United, setting up a meeting with Premier League outfit Sunderland in the fourth round.
Preston North End also shocked Ipswich Town with a dramatic 3-2 win at Deepdale, while Fulham came out on top in an all-Premier League match against Norwich City, progressing comfortably with a 3-0 victory.
Holders Wigan Athletic remained in the competition with a 3-1 victory over MK Dons in their replay, although the Latics needed extra time to overcome the League One side.

Good evening! Thank you very much for joining Sports Mole for coverage of the FA Cup third round including replays. We have 10 matches on offer for you tonight, and there is plenty of opportunity for a good old fashioned upset, while drama is almost guaranteed!
First things first, let's sort out what is going on tonight in terms of the various stages of the competition we are at. Due to postponements to original plans, there are three matches going tonight in the normal third round, while the other seven are replays, meaning that we must have a winner in those games.
The three normal third round fixtures see Charlton host Oxford at the Valley, Birmingham take on Bristol Rovers and Bournemouth entertain Burton Albion. Those trio of matches will go to replays if the 90 minutes end level tonight.
The other seven fixtures, which must be decided tonight, are as follows: Watford vs. Bristol City, Peterborough vs. Kidderminster, MK Dons vs. Wigan, Fulham vs. Norwich, Sheffield Wednesday vs. Macclesfield, Preston vs. Ipswich and Plymouth vs. Port Vale.
So, we have sides from the Premier League all the way down to the conference in action this evening - something you will only see in the FA Cup. It was have lost some of its appeal to the top clubs in recent years, but there is still nothing quite like the FA Cup to provide drama, upsets and action. Let's hope for plenty more tonight!
Often it is the most unexpected of games that steal the show in this competition, but let's take a look at a few of the games which, on paper, are the most alluring on offer tonight...
FULHAM VS. NORWICH: There really is only one place to start when looking at tonight's matches. The standout fixture is the all-Premier League clash between Fulham and Norwich as Rene Meulensteen goes head to head against Chris Hughton for a place in the fourth round. Neither side are enjoying the best of times in the league at the moment, so a cup run could be just what they need to kick-start their season.
One of things that makes this match interesting is how even the teams seem to be. Just one place and one point separate them in the Premier League, and it was no surprise when they drew 1-1 in their initial FA Cup meeting 10 days ago. Both sides suffered defeat in the league at the weekend, although Fulham's - a 1-4 home loss to Sunderland - was arguably more damaging than Norwich's - a 2-0 defeat away to Everton.
However, going into this game, it is Fulham's form that is better. They have picked up two wins in their last five matches in all competitions, while Norwich have not been victorious in their past seven, drawing four and losing three. Still, the FA Cup often makes a show of ripping up the form book, so Chris Hughton won't be paying too much attention to that. Indeed, he may be looking on tonight's match as the perfect opportunity to change their poor run.
Making a prediction in this match is very tough, as not much separates them at all. It genuinely could go either way, and could go all the way. I would not be surprised if it went to penalties, but I'm going to stick my neck out and go for a 2-1 Fulham win after extra time. PETERBOROUGH VS. KIDDERMINSTER: The FA Cup is defined as much by non-league teams as it is the big sides, so it is great to see Kidderminster still involved in the competition. They did brilliantly to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Peterborough, but tonight promises to be an even tougher test as they lose the advantage of their own ground and fans.
On paper, this looks like it should be an easy win for the hosts. They sit sixth in League One, while Kidderminster are all the way down in the Conference, currently occupying fourth place. However, Peterborough are not in very good form going into this match, having not won any of their last five games, while Kidderminster have won two of their last four.
The visitors will certainly go into this game full of belief following the last meeting, but they will be up against. It isn't long since they were thrashed 6-0 by Luton Town, so if Peterborough are at their best we could see another high score tonight. Peterborough haven't been at their best recently, but I still think that they will have enough to see off the non-leaguers.
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY VS. MACCLESFIELD TOWN: Joining Kidderminster in the non-league ranks are Macclesfield, who earned a memorable 1-1 draw against Wednesday earlier this month to set up tonight's replay. They also face a much tougher task than they did 10 days ago, however, and will do very well to match that result this evening.
In many ways, Macclesfield's continued participation in the FA Cup is even more impressive than that of Huddersfield. John Askey's men are not only lower down the league ladder, sitting 12th in the conference, but they held on to a draw against a Championship side rather than a League One outfit. They will be full of confidence for tonight's match and are no doubt licking their lips at the prospect of an upset.
Both sides come into this match in good form, which should make it a very interesting game indeed. Macclesfield have won four of their last four games, with the only exception coming against Wednesday in the first meeting between these two. They haven't played since then, however, so will be raring to go tonight. Wednesday, meanwhile, are also unbeaten in their last five and recorded one of the best results in their recent history at the weekend, thrashing Yorkshire rivals Leeds 6-0 here at Hillsborough.
Surely Macclesfield can't win this one? Yes, they are in good form and 'anything can happen in the FA Cup' as the cliche goes, but Wednesday will still be riding high from their result at the weekend, so I can't see them being brought down to earth with that much of a bump. I'm going for a home win, 2-0.
Those are the most enticing replays for me tonight, but what about the third round fixtures taking place for the first time? Let's take a look at them...
CHARLTON VS. OXFORD: This one looks like a straightforward win for Charlton on paper, sitting as they do two league above their opponents. Home advantage can be very important in the FA Cup, and the fact that Charlton have it and Oxford don't should make this game a whole lot easier for the Addicks.
Charlton are currently struggling in the Championship, however, sitting down in 20th place having won just one of their last eight games. Their last outing saw them draw with playoff-chasing Ipswich, though, so things could be worse for them. Oxford, meanwhile, are doing some playoff chasing of their own in League Two and currently sit in seventh. They also drew in their last outing, playing out a goalless draw against Portsmouth.
I can't see past a home win in this match. It may be different if Oxford had the home advantage, but it being at the Valley is a huge plus for Charlton. I'll go for a 3-1 home victory and a comfortable passage into the fourth round to face Huddersfield.
BIRMINGHAM VS. BRISTOL ROVERS: Another Championship vs. League Two tie as Birmingham host Bristol Rovers in what should, again, be a comfortable win for the hosts. The visitors are really struggling in the league at the moment and will have their eyes firmly set on preserving their Football League status, so an FA Cup run could well be an unwanted distraction.
Birmingham, meanwhile, are in good form coming into this one, despite their rather poor league position of 17th in the Championship. They have lost just one of their last 11 games, although six of them have been drawn. That solitary defeat came in their last outing as Brighton triumphed 1-0.
This prediction is going to sound eerily similar to the last - again I can't see past a home win. Bristol Rovers don't have the squad to rotate players for cup games, so it will be more or less their first team out tonight, but they will be more focused on their league form. Often in such a scenario, a cup run can give them confidence, but it can also become an unwelcome distraction. I'll go for a 2-0 home win.
BOURNEMOUTH VS. BURTON ALBION: Guess what? It's another Championship vs. League Two match! This one is not quite as straightforward as the others, however, as Burton Albion are the sort of side who can pull off an upset against the big boys.
Burton are currently doing well in the league, sitting second and looking well-placed for automatic promotion to League One next season. They are also in fine form of late and have not been beaten in their last 11 outings. Bournemouth, meanwhile, lost heavily to Wigan at the weekend and are looking tentatively over their shoulders in the Championship. They are not among the favourites for the drop this season, but it wouldn't take too big of a swing for these two sides to be playing in the same division next year.
There is certainly potential for an upset in this match, but I think Bournemouth will just about have enough to see off the challenge of Burton. It should be a fairly close match and Burton's confidence will be sky-high given their recent form, but I'm still going to go for a home win. 2-1.
The FA Cup fourth round draw has, of course, already been made. That means that these sides know what awaits them should they get through tonight unscathed. Let's take a look at who has the biggest incentive...
Bournemouth and Burton will certainly fancy their fourth round draw - a home tie against Liverpool on January 25. That will draw a full house to whichever side gets through, and will make the thought of springing an upset even more appealing to the Burton Albion players. Kidderminster and Peterborough will also face Premier League opposition if they get through, with Sunderland awaiting them in the next round. Could we see a Premier League vs. non-league match?
There would also be Premier League opposition for Wigan or MK Dons, as they would host Crystal Palace in the next round. Perhaps the most daunting possibility of the next round lies in wait for Bristol City or Watford, who could face Manchester City away should they progress from their own replay against Blackburn tomorrow.

Well, they didn't take long to get started tonight, did they?! Plymouth are the first to score, doing so after just 90 seconds of their match against Port Vale courtesy of Andres Gurrieri's brave stooping header. They are swiftly followed by Bournemouth, who take the lead against Burton Albion after some good work from Ritchie to cross for Brett Pitman, who slid home at the far post.
Wednesday also scored early in their match against non-league Macclesfield thanks to a Chris Maguire strike, his second in as many games having netted against Leeds at the weekend.
GOAL! MK Dons 1-0 Wigan
MK Dons and Wigan played out one of the best matches of the third round 10 days ago with a 3-3 draw, and they are at it again here. The hosts have taken the lead in the ninth minute of their match thanks to Luke Chadwick in his first game back from injury.

We have our first hint of an upset tonight! Championship Charlton go behind against League Two Oxford thanks to a Johnny Mullins strike after he had been teed up by Scott Davies.

We're up and running in the all-Premier League match between Fulham and Norwich as Darren Bent gives the hosts the lead. He lashed Kasami's cutback past Bunn for the opening goal. Remember, you can follow that game in depth here.
Kidderminster are holding their own against Peterborough at the moment, with both sides enjoying decent sights of goal in the opening exchanges. With Macclesfield losing, it could be up to the Harriers to fly the non-league flag in this competition now.
Suddenly, it's all gone quiet on the goal front. Knowing the FA Cup, though, it won't last for long and normal service should be resumed shortly!

What did I tell you? Peterborough break the deadlock in their match against Kidderminster, Tommy Rowe nodding home midway through the first half. Both non-league sides are now losing, can they salvage something from their games?

Things just keep getting better for League Two side Oxford, who now lead the Championship's Charlton by two goals at the Valley! Mullins scored the first and he was involved in this one too, linked up with Constable to set up Scott Davies, who fired a low shot past the keeper.

Watford have taken the lead at Vicarage Road, could they be about to record a rare win? They have only been victorious once in their last 14 matches, but a Karleigh Osborne own goal has set them on their way to improving that record.

Port Vale are level against Plymouth! Having gone behind after just 90 seconds of the match, they have levelled things up just past the half-hour mark courtesy of a Jordan Hugill strike. The first match between these two ended 2-2, could we be seeing a repeat of that?

League Two side Burton Albion have levelled things up against Bournemouth of the Championship! It was Jimmy Phillips who got the goal with a deflected strike to make it 1-1. Could we be seeing an upset in the making there? Birmingham have also taken the lead against Bristol Rovers, Shane Ferguson crossing to Paul Robinson for the goal.

This one is fast shaping up to be the game of the night already! Having squandered the lead just seven minutes ago, Plymouth regain it to take control of the match once more. Conor Hourihane got the goal with an exquisite finish having been played through by Alessandra.

Fulham double their lead over Norwich with just four minutes to go until the break! Kacaniklic squared the ball across for Ashkan Dejagah to slot home from close range. The Cottagers are in complete control of that match now.

Bournemouth are back in the lead against Burton Albion! They will surely now take the advantage into half time courtesy of Tommy Elphick's close range finish in the 44th minute.
Speaking of half time, the whistles are beginning to blow around the country for the intervals after what has been an action packed 45 minutes of FA Cup football, as expected. We still have six games going on right now, but they are all edging into stoppage time.
HALF TIME: The final half-time whistle goes in Plymouth, bringing all 10 games into the break. We have seen 15 goals already this evening and just one of the matches, Preston vs. Ipswich, remains goalless at this stage. Let's have a quick roundup of all the scores at the moment.

So plenty to talk about after that first half, then. Perhaps the performance of the night so far has come from League Two's Oxford United, who are very well positioned to pull off a big shock over Championship side Charlton. They currently lead the Addicks 2-0 at the Valley, and it would take some comeback for the hosts to recover from that. The winner of that match will face Huddersfield in the next round.
In our all-Premier League match between Fulham and Norwich, the Cottagers have taken control in the first half. Not much separates them in the league at the moment, but there are two goals, from Bent and Dejagah, between them at half time in West London. As with Charlton, it will take some comeback from Norwich to overturn that deficit.
The two non-league teams are not faring too well as things stand. Kidderminster currently trail Peterborough 1-0, while Sheffield Wednesday lead Macclesfield by the same scoreline. Still, as long as the gap remain a solitary goal, both Conference dwellers will fancy their chances of nicking a draw and perhaps taking it all the way to the lottery of the penalties.
The highest scoring games so far are coming from the south coast, with Plymouth and Bournemouth both leading their respective matches 2-1. In both instances, the hosts took the lead before being pegged back, only to then regain the advantage shortly before half time.
Meanwhile, MK Dons and Wigan played out an entertaining first half with some open, attacking football on show, but so far we have only seen one goal from them after they treated us to six in the last meeting. That goal went to the Dons, who would have the honour of knocking the cup holders out if they can cling onto that lead.

It is a perfect start to the half for non-league Kidderminster as they level things up against Peterborough. They had been playing again for less than five minutes when Michael Gash nodded in for his side. That could be a huge goal for the visitors.

Incredible scenes at London Road Stadium as Kidderminster have scored a second in three minutes to take the lead against Peterborough. The hosts hit the post immediately after Kidderminster equalised, but then the non-league side went up the other end and scored again thanks to Jack Byrne's finish.

Could the comeback be on? Charlton do exactly what they needed to do and get an early goal back at the start of the second half. It was Michael Morrison who got it, nodding in Jordan Cook's cross when unmarked inside the area. Game on at the Valley!

We now have at least one goal in every game this evening! Ipswich break the deadlock against Preston through Frank Nouble, who lashed the shot home following a mistake by Preston keeper Rudd.
Things seemed to have settled down at London Road Stadium for now, but you can be sure that there is more drama to come in that one. Two goals in three minutes for Kidderminster, sandwiching Peterborough hitting the post, have made that a very interesting encounter.

Incredibly, Preston have scored two goals in as many minutes to turn their match against Ipswich on its head! Joe Garner got both of the goals, his first deflecting off two players before going in and his second coming from his own work as he found space to shoot inside the box and rifled an effort past the keeper. Another big storyline is brewing at Hillsborough, where Macclesfield have equalised against Sheffield Wednesday courtesy of a Boden penalty.
So, things are looking pretty good for the non-league teams right now. Kidderminster still lead against Peterborough despite increasing pressure from the hosts in that match, while as things stand Macclesfield will be taking their Championship opponents to extra time - and possibly beyond!

Phew! Where to start with that?! Well, there have been some major developments down in Plymouth, so let's look at that. Port Vale still lead 3-2 but they are in for a nervy end to the game having had a man sent off. Lines conceded a penalty as well as receiving his marching orders, but the spot kick was saved. Elsewhere, Bournemouth, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham have all but sealed their progress into the fourth round.

What a start to extra time for Wigan! Having left it relatively late to equalise in normal time, the FA Cup holders score in the first minute of the added 30 through Nick Powell, who now has two goals for the game. The holders could be living to fight another day!
While that match goes on, let's have a look back and see just what the ramifications are after another breathless night of FA Cup football.
The headline makers, not for the first time in FA Cup history, will be a non-league side as Kidderminster dump Peterborough out of the competition courtesy of a thrilling 3-2 victory. They came from behind with two goals in the space of three minutes at the start of the second half, before regaining the lead just a minute after Peterborough had equalised later in the match. They are now the only non-league representatives after Macclesfield were comfortably beaten by Sheffield Wednesday.
Plymouth and Port Vale will also involved in a five-goal thriller, the latter scraping through thanks to a 3-2 win despite being reduced to 10 men and conceding a penalty late in the match. That spot kick was saved, and Port Vale held on for the win to book a fourth round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion.
It was also 3-2 as Preston shocked Ipswich at Deepdale, Joe Garner hitting a hat-trick, including two in the space of two minutes, to complete a comeback victory for the League One side over their Championship counterparts. They now face a trip to take on Nottingham Forest in the fourth round, with that match taking place a day before most of the others on Friday 24.
Charlton produced a fine second-half comeback to avoid a shock exit at the hands of League Two's Oxford, erasing a two-goal deficit to force a replay in their rearranged third round tie. They will meet again to compete for a place in the fourth round, where one of them will face Huddersfield.

They think it's all over...and it could well be for MK Dons. They have conceded a second goal in the first half of extra time and now trail Wigan by two. It is Marc-Antoine Fortune who has got the third, holding off a challenge from Lewington before finding the bottom corner with his effort.
HALF TIME IN EXTRA TIME: MK Dons 1-3 Wigan
The two teams will have a quick change at half time in extra time before getting the second 15 minutes back underway. It is an uphill battle for the tiring MK Dons players now, and the holders look set for a fourth round meeting with Crystal Palace on January 25.
It is worth noting, as they get back underway in Milton Keynes, that the original third round tie between MK Dons and Wigan ended 3-3. It would take an almighty effort from the hosts to repeat that and take the game to penalties, but stranger things have happened.
Wigan are monopolising the ball at the moment, frustrating MK Dons and just looking to control the tempo for the rest of the match. It is clever play from the Latics, and the hosts need to do something to stop it sooner rather than later.
Stephen Gleeson has a sight of goal for the hosts, but his volley flashed wide of the post. There are only five minutes remaining in extra time for MK Dons to pull of something special.
Nervy moment for Al-Habsi as he spills a shot and the ball almost falls to Reeves and Kay, who are both in close attendance for the hosts. However, the Wigan keeper recovers in time to gather the ball before his mistake is capitalised on.
Al-Habsi turns a Bowditch shot around the post, and the corner is the signal for goalkeeper Martin to come up in a last desperate throw of the dice. It comes to nothing, however, and Wigan break, but Martin gets back in time to save Espinoza's effort.

There is the final whistle as holders Wigan cling onto the trophy for another round at least. They did it the hard way, coming from behind before finally dispatching of MK Dons with two goals in the first half of extra time.
