Easy win for Freiburg against Stuttgart

Goals from Jan Rosenthal, Pavel Krmas and Max Kruse see Freiburg defeat Stuttgart 3-0 at home in the Bundesliga.

Freiburg have increased their chances of European qualification with a 3-0 victory over Stuttgart at home in the Bundesliga.

The home side went ahead in the 22nd minute through Jan Rosenthal, who latched on to Jonathan Schmid's pass to shoot home from outside the box with his right foot.

Midway through the second half Freiburg made it 2-0 when Pavel Krmas fired in from the centre of the box.

Then in the 73rd minute the hosts wrapped up the points when Daniel Caligiuri passed the ball on to Max Kruse with his head, and the Freiburg forward made no mistake from close range.

Ivan Santini could have made it 4-0 to Freiburg in the final minute of normal time from just yards out, but his effort came off the post.
