Report: Mathieu Valbuena close to Valencia move

Valencia are reportedly confident of signing Mathieu Valbuena from Marseille this summer.

France's World Cup star Mathieu Valbuena will reportedly leave Marseille for Valencia this summer.

The attacking midfielder, who was arguably his side's best player at the World Cup in Brazil, has been linked with a number of European clubs in recent months.

However, according to L'Equipe, Valencia are close to agreeing terms with Marseille, who are open to selling the 29-year-old for the right price.

The Frenchman, who started his professional career with Libourne, has been with Marseille since 2006.
